What mark are you leaving on the world?
This past weekend I was up in the mountains of Lake Arrowhead, California working as a fitness instructor at an event called Fitness Weekend. Friday afternoon through Sunday afternoon were jam packed with fitness classes, trail runs, hikes, healthy living demos, nutrition, challenges, games, and so much more!
The idea for this episode came to me while on our early morning trail run. As participants were cheering for me when I ran my laps, and then chose to run along with me as long as they could to finish the mile, it hit me that I was there setting a positive example for health, wellness, fitness, and healthy living. All I could think to myself was that I best stay on my game if I wanted to leave these people with a positive influence to continue this when they got back to real life in the city.
In this episode we discuss what it means to lead by example, why your example matters, and a few tips to get your confidence in leading by example up and running.

- Pick one thing that is important to you/that you are passionate about/that you deeply care about and . . . SHARE IT! (Little caveat here- I want it to be something that you are actively involved in, have knowledge about, and have had experience with)
- Pick at least FIVE people that you can share this with; whether it be simply by example, or very purposefully speaking about it with them.
- If it’s something that is film-able or you can take a picture of/document in some way- post it on social media and tag me (Insta: @lightafire_ightafire / FB & Twitter: @lightafirelife). Then I can get just as excited about the examples, and fire lighting, and spark igniting in others that you are doing.
That’s what setting a positive example/leading by example and not just with words throughout your life does – it ignites a spark in others. And we all know . . . All it takes is one spark to Light A Fire.
