Welcome one and all!
The first Light A Fire Podcast show notes! Woo! After every show you can come over here to check out the links or any info that we talked about on the show. You will also get a quick shot of information on our interviewees, where to find them, and what they’ve got going on. And for good measure, I’ll be sure to give y’all a little summary and/or bullet points of that days podcast happenings.

– Going on a journey together through the whole spectrum of health, wellness, and happiness.
– Discovering our inner fire, drive, motivation, passion, what pushes us, what makes us FEEL, and helps us to feel like our ultimate selves.
– Going to workshops, races, classes . . . Events that make you feel good.
– Interviews with experts, hopefuls, people who are out to make a difference in their communities and in the world.
– covering topics such as the effects of working out, sleep, research on happiness, service, and so much more! (Aren’t you excited? I’mexcited!)
- We talked about who the heck I am! (Jess, Jessica, single mom, lip-gloss fiend, life enthusiast, ya know- ME!
- And finally, the goal of this podcast . . . To leave feeling GREAT (fantastic, wonderful, amazing- any/all of that good stuff), informed, and empowered.
Part 2:
“When we’re open to trying something new . . . we’re open to changing our life.”
Though most of our time was spent introducing Light A Fire I still wanted to do a “mini episode”, so to speak, in order to get going with our empowered selves straight out the gate. In keeping with this new movement of bringing health, wellness, and happiness to the forefront of our lives, we discussed the effects of trying something new. What does trying something new do for us, and how do we implement it into our lives?
Something we will be doing at the end of every episode is a CHALLENGE. I will give you a new challenge every episode (could be anything, so get ready!), and asking you to communicate with me via this website, email, or social media with your thoughts and experiences involving that weeks particular challenge.

Try something new!
Whatever it is: a new book, hobby, language, food, or travel adventure . . .
Anything! Step out of your “usual” and give yourself the gift of growth.
